Steven Dean | Executive Chairman and Director
Steven Dean is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia. He has extensive experience internationally in mining, including as President of Teck Cominco Limited (now Teck Resources Ltd.). Teck is Canada's largest diversified resource company, is the largest producer of metallurgical coal in North America and a major producer of copper, zinc, and energy from 13 mines in Canada, United States, Chile and Peru.

Prior to joining Teck, Mr. Dean was a founding member of management of the Normandy Poseidon Group, (which became Normandy Mining) which was the largest Australian gold producer and a significant producer of base metals and industrial minerals until its acquisition by Newmont Mining in 2002, as well as co-founder of PacMin Mining Corporation which became a subsidiary of Teck Corporation in 1999. He was also a co-founder and former chairman of Amerigo Resources Ltd.

Mr. Dean is the former Chairman and a director of Sierra Metals Inc.. (TSX:SMT), and Chairman of Oceanic Iron Ore Corp. (TSX-V:FEO).

Bing Pan | Interim  CEO

Mr. Pan is the senior partner of Sinocan Consultant Hong Kong Limited (“Sinocan”), a consulting firm specializing in assisting Canadian companies with strategic partnership, business development, and merger and acquisition opportunities in China.

Mr. Pan has over 20 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, consulting & advisory services in the technology, alternative energy, carbon credit and natural resources industries in China and North America.  Mr. Pan has served as a director of the board of TSXV listed Cadillac Ventures and as an advisor of the board of TSXV listed Northern Freegold.

Mr. Pan obtained his MBA degree from Richard Ivey School of Business and his Bachelor’s of Science from South China University of Technology.

Chris Batalha | CFO and Corporate Secretary
Chartered Accountant with over three years’ experience in accounting, finance, corporate governance and M&A with a number of mining exploration and development companies. Mr. Batalha also spent 5 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a manager in the Audit and Assurance Group in Vancouver.

Eddy Canova | Director of Exploration
Mr. Canova has over 25 years experience in the mineral exploration industry in Canada, Venezuela, Mexico, and West Africa and four years experience in mineral production in Venezuela. His work has been focused in gold mineral exploration, base and precious metals, uranium and in the last year in the iron ore industry in Quebec. Mr. Canova has been exposed to a variety of geological environments and geological models working on some major projects such as Gold Reserves' Brisas' project, an 8 million oz Au project, Bolivar's Tomi Gold project, and as mine manager responsible for the acquisition and exploration on most of the properties of Alexandria Minerals from 2002 to 2009. Mr. Canova joined Oceanic in January 2011 as Exploration Manager. Mr. Canova has a BSc. in geology from McGill University and continually updates his knowledge through professional short courses, university courses and publications.

Rodney (Rod) Johnson Ph.D | VP Geometallurgy
Prior to forming his own consulting company, Mr. Johnson was chief geometallurgist and process mineralogist for Cliffs Natural Resources Inc., where he was pivotal in introducing geometallurgical practices and improving ore characterization, mine planning, and pellet quality. Mr. Johnson's other previous roles included chief geologist for Copper Range Company at the White Pine Mine, White Pine, Michigan, and senior exploration geologist and nickel commodity specialist for Western Mining Corporation.

Mr. Johnson received his Ph.D. in Geology from Michigan Technological University with specialty in the areas of metallic ore deposits, structural geology, low temperature aqueous geochemistry, and geohydrology. Mr. Johnson is an active registered member of SME and a member of AusImm.

John B. Hall VP Shipping and Marine Services
Mr. Hall possesses thirty five years experience in the field of industrial bulk transportation with relevant expertise in respect of ports, shipping, and transshipment approaches.  He has an extensive network of contacts and business relationships in the industry and in the past has been employed by Canada Steamship Lines, Jebsens Group, and Skaarup at various management levels including President and CEO of Jebsens Canada.

Most recently, Mr. Hall spent six years working with Baffinland Iron Mines in respect of shipping, port, and marine logistics approaches and led the shipping component of the Mary River definitive feasibility study, as well as engineering related to the project’s port infrastructure. He has also recently worked with Severstal, Alderon Iron Ore, Dominion Terminal Services, Nucor Steel, Teck Corporation, and Coeclerici on similar mandates.
